ZIPPOS FULFILMENT

2003 AQHA Gelding

“Buster” is our number one hunter horse with a great western background/show record as well. He is now being used for advanced lessons, both western and huntseat, as well as continuing his over fence training and showing. Buster has been here since he was a long yearling, and all the training was completed by Jaimee and I.

YOUDONTINTIMIDATEME

“Diesel” is a 2005 brown AQHA gelding, with an already impressive show record at a young age. Diesel will continue his show career in 2009, as well as being used lightly for western lessons. Diesel was purchased from the Thomas family as an almost two year old for me to have a western pleasure horse, which he certainly fits the bill! He is sloooooow…  Unfortunately, Diesel is an orphan as his great sire, Heshouldabeenacowboy and his mom, Shezs Sure A Tiger have both passed away. They were both extremely talented and will be missed by the Thomas Family.

RED SOX

“Sox” is a 1996 Candian Bred Thoroughbred. He arrived here in 1997 to try his skills as a lesson and show horse. Well, Sox has certainly lived up to both challenges.  As a lesson horse he has made no wrong moves and can even dabble as a western pleasure mount for the walk/trotters. He is a wonderful trail partner for anybody as well. He has been to a couple of shows, both with me exhibiting, his first hunter show in 2008 where he exceeded all expectations. Look for Sox to make more shows in 2009!

Our Draft horses

We showed draft horses through the late nineties, learning many things from some very knowledgeable horsemen. We shared showing a six horse hitch with Dick and Carol Menkins, helped Fred and Donna Rovenolt at shows with their big hitch and showed our own in halter and in harness. Everything we showed, with the exception of Chief, we bought young, trained and showed. Ed has a great eye for picking out personalities in horses. We bought Chief from Rovenolt’s and he taught us alot about the bigger hitches.  Marvin, Ed picked him out at a sale and brought him home and he was a monster to deal with, but he came around. I showed him under saddle as well as in the hitch, along with Chief and Elsa.  Here is a picture of the Unicorn, with Chief in the lead, and a picture of Marvin saddle seat.medrivemarvin

Pictures coming soon for Sandy, LV, Kid and Smokey, stay tuned!
